BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) -Collectors gathered at the Interstate Center in Bloomington this weekend for the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/MidwestToyandComicFest” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>Midwest Toy and Comic Fest.
The event featured vendors from across the Midwest and beyond, offering collectors a wide variety of toys, comics and other collectibles at different price points. Some items were available for as little as $1.
“I feel that nerd culture can be widespread and encompasses a little bit of everything. It’s very mainstream, it’s very popular, and we carry a lot of those characters with us,” said organizer Mickey Tate.
Collectors have the chance to find unique items while connecting with others who share an interest in toys, comics and pop culture.
The event has continued to grow since the first show in 2022. It has expanded to five different cities across Central Illinois and Iowa.
The next Midwest Toy and Comic Fest is scheduled for March 20-21, 2027, in Springfield.
