Peacock has released a new trailer for A24’s thriller series “Crystal Lake,” starring Linda Cardellini (“DTF St. Louis,” “Dead to Me”) as single mom Pam Voorhees, whose son Jason Voorhees (the notorious villain in the “Friday the 13th” horror movie franchise), mysteriously drowned in Crystal Lake in 1957.
When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: Just who is Pam Voorhees?
The prequel series, which is set in 1971 and was created, written and executive produced by Brad Caleb Kane (“It: Welcome to Derry,” “Tokyo Vice,” “Warrior”), bows all eight episodes Oct. 15.
In addition to Cardellini, series regulars include William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom. Recurring cast include Callum Vinson, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch and Phoenix Parnevik.
