The red skies are back, the countdown clock is ticking, and two iconic Marvel realities are about to collide with only eight hours to survive.
Marvel Comics has announced Incursions, a series of five standalone one-shots launching this November 2026. Revisiting the apocalyptic lead-up to Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić’s legendary Secret Wars (2015), the project explores previously untold multiversal clashes where classic Marvel eras, alternate timelines, and fan-favorite media adaptations fight for their right to exist.
Realities on a Collision Course
The Incursions slate spans five distinct one-shots that bring legendary corners of Marvel continuity into direct, desperate conflict:
- X-Men: Incursions #1 – Written by Alex Paknadel with art by Jim Towe.
- Spider-Man: Incursions #1 – Written by Christos Gage and more.
- Fantastic Four: Incursions #1 – Written by Ethan S. Parker, Griffin Sheridan, and Paco Medina.
- X-Men ’92: Incursions #1 – Written by Chris Yost, Craig Kyle, and more.
- Avengers: Incursions #1 – Written by Al Ewing and Fran Mariscal Mancilla.
First Look: ‘House of M’ vs. ‘Days of Future Past’
The event kicks off with X-Men: Incursions #1, presenting an agonizing choice that falls squarely on the shoulders of Kate Pryde.
When the mutant-ascendant world of House of M enters an incursion with the bleak, Sentinel-dominated timeline of Days of Future Past, the clock gives them exactly eight hours to act: either one universe destroys the other, or both collide and face total annihilation.
“As someone who sincerely relishes the challenge of dancing between the raindrops of continuity, this project was all my Christmases come at once,” said writer Alex Paknadel. “I got to tell a story about what really matters, and I got to do it against the backdrop of three (!) of the biggest Marvel events of all time. I really love my job sometimes.”
X-Men Incursions #1 will go on sale on November 8.
