As soon as her picture hit the internet, social media was filled with jokes and memes, with plenty of people turning the singer`s popular songs into punchlines.

A Minnesota woman is grabbing attention on social media after her arrest mugshot caught the world’s eye, looking a lot like Jennifer Lopez. Cyrena Anne Quast, 35, was arrested on August 30 after allegedly stealing two double packs of power-tool batteries valued at around $580 (INR: Rs 55,000) from a store in Monticello, as per a criminal complaint obtained by The Watch MN.

The complaint stated that a store employee recognised Quast in connection with an alleged theft at the same store two days earlier and alerted police. She later admitted to taking the battery packs and was booked on a gross-misdemeanour theft charge before being released the following day, according to the Daily Mail.
Still, the timeline of what happened hardly drew widespread attention on social media as compared to her mugshot, which many users pointed out closely resembles Jennifer Lopez. The comparison sparked a wave of hilarious comments and references to Lopez’s music, with some online users even turning the singer’s popular songs into punchlines.
Internet’s take
Quast’s striking resemblance to the57-year-old pop sensation quickly erupted with memes and comments on social media. It is surprising how an ordinary police report quickly became a trending online news story.
One commented, “Bro, I seriously thought the mug shot was Lopez.” Another wrote, “She should be charged twice for not being smart enough to use her likeness raking in money being a Lopez impersonator or a stand-in.”
“Omg. Get a DNA test. There’s no way that’s NOT JLo. For real. If it’s NOTâ¦and I was Hollywood or anywhere else I would totally rent her at a discounted JLo rate for sure,” a user added.
Even Quast’s online friends reportedly commented about her uncanny resemblance to JLO in her previous social media posts. Meanwhile, online records have revealed that the store robbery was not Quast’s first time behind bars. She has previously been charged in connection with allegations including drug possession, driving while intoxicated, providing wrong information to police, and even escaping from officers.
