THE POP CULTURE NEWS BULLETIN 264
The Pop Culture News Bulletin is a weekly roundup of the recent and trending news stories in the entertainment industry or stories that fall into the pop culture subcategory. Every Friday we feature stories that fit the content we frequently cover
Editorials, columns and social media has been buzzing with talk of who will shape the February 2027 Grammys. So far, consensus seems in line with it being the battle of Olito earn Best Album nominees (the list will be announced mid-November) and then of course, both are likely to pick up Song of the Year nominees too. The two possible caveats to either of these highly acclaimed artists could be Noah Kahan or Ella Langley
The long awaited rumors have now been confirmed. HBO is adapting an eight-part TV series that will pick up the story ofCrazy Rich Asians. The story we speak of is where the 2018 feature film left off, a plot that revolved around a blissfully happy couple whose stable and healthy relationship hits a rough patch when during a trip home to meet his family, she learns he comes from an obnoxiously wealthy family who perhaps don’t think she’s good enough. The cast from teh film, including Henry Golding and Constance Wu, will also return.
USA Network gave Anna Pidgeon a season two. The first season follows the titular character, an investigator for a national park and the cases she works. Season two will likely pick up some threads from season one and continue the weekly cases, too. The sophomore season will likely return mid or late 2027.
Netflix has announced that their Canadian set comedy North of North will debut its second season November 5. The show follows a woman who decides to divorce her husband, a charismatic social media star everyone in her tiny town loves, and the process of starting again. See the season two trailer below.

In additional Netflix renewal news, and ahead of its season two release, Netflix renewed The Hunting Wives for season three.
This past week, UPtv announced that it’s the “fastest growing cable network in 2026.” The network is home (or its UP Faith and Family streamer is) to the well-liked Blue Skies, which reportedly “ranks among the top 10 program in its time period across ad-supported cable” and is also home to Hudson and Rex. Both shows are cited as reasons fueling this growth. The release also says, in part, that “UPtv now ranks No. 30 among Cable networks for delivery of W18+.”
