Taking place from July 23 through July 26, guests will be transported into the world of Hulu Animayehm, where they can engage with interactive moments from some of their favorite animated series!
San Diego Comic Con (The Hollywood Times) 07/25/2026
Hulu, the go-to streaming destination for adult animation, brought Animayhem Back! This year, Hulu Animayhem brought to life the worlds of Futurama and King of the Hill in their Hulu Animayhem: Fandom Fuel Up. Located at Palm Trees Garden in the Gaslamp Quarter, fans were invited to join their favorite time-travelers, aliens, family men, and quirky neighbors in a fan-first immersive experience and The Hollywood Times was there to experience firsthand before the public at 10:30 am.

Guest participate in character-inspired photo op moments, enjoyed themed food and beverage offerings and received on-site goodies.
Another warm day for all the fans at Comic Con. Out early to be part of Animayhem before the heat of the day.

First up was getting a black Planet Expresso cap and walk over to Futurama set for photo ops. Leela was there holding a tray of coffee shots and canister of coffee for refills.

They also had 3 cold drinks to choose from: (1) Fry’s 100 cups of Cold Brew (Cold brew with citrus cold foam top) (2) Leela’s Lavender Latte (Latte with lavender syrup and cold foam) (3) Planet Expresso Over Ice (Two shots of Bender’s Blend over ice). I choose Leela’s Lavender Latte, which was surprisedly delicious. They also offered one hot Planet Expresso which was two shots of Bender’s Bendy Blend. I needed cold already! We also got 4 chocolate donuts holes. What a delicious and refreshing way to start the morning off. Found a table with some shade to eat a couple of donuts holes and save two for later. Sipped away on my Leela’s Lavender Latte and took some more photos and short video:

The next photo op was Hermes Conrad dragging 100% Jamacia Coffee toward Planet Expresso. Up next was way cool, Scruffy pouring Torgo’s Executive Powder into a Humanoid Specimen, which was my head! Of course there must be one of Leela with a tray full of coffee. Awesome photo opportunity. Check it out:

Season 14 of “Futurama” premieres Monday, August 3 with two new episodes on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ (for bundle subscribers) and Disney+ internationally, with new episodes streaming every Monday. Here’s the trailer:
As we moved along the next adventure was part of “King of the Hill”. There was a cornhole game and a place to sit and watch some episodes of “King of the Hill”. Then we were treated to some food and beverages from Robata Chane restaurant. Here was the menu to chose from. I choose Chicken with sweet soy and sparkling water:

The chicken was delicious and so moist and the fried rice was amazing. Nothing like great food and some sparkling water to top it off.
“King of the Hill” returns for Season 15 on July 29 on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. The Emmy®-winning series ran for 13 seasons with over 250 episodes on Fox and all seasons now stream on Hulu.
I heard some guests waited up to five hours to get in, and after experiencing everything firsthand, I can understand why. What we enjoyed—from the food and drinks to the full Animayhem experience—would have made the wait worthwhile.
As members of the press with a scheduled arrival time, we were fortunate to step right into the excitement. It was the best way to take in the event, and we are grateful to Hulu for making it possible.
The Hollywood Times thanks Hulu for the opportunity to be part of the Animayhem experience. We are already looking forward to next year.
