“The Challenge” is taking its new season to streaming.
The 42nd season of the reality competition is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Wednesday, Aug. 5, a first for the show, which aired exclusively on MTV for decades.
Titled “The Challenge: Cutthroat,” the new season brings together 24 competitors, including both veterans and newbies, from a variety of reality shows.
Like the original “Cutthroat” season that aired in 2010, the contestants will be split into three teams to compete together for a share of a $500,000 grand prize.
