If you’re starting your Christmas shopping early, Amazon’s Prime Day toy deals can be a useful opportunity to spread the cost and pick up some bigger presents for less. We’ve checked the prices and picked out 12 offers that stand out across playsets, baby toys, vehicles, construction toys and family favourites.
Rather than simply including every discounted toy, we’ve focused on deals that offer useful savings on products that could make strong Christmas gifts. Where a brand has multiple toys on offer, we’ve limited our selection to no more than two.
Prime Day pricing note: Amazon prices and deals can change quickly throughout the sale. The prices and discounts in this article were correct at the time of publication, but always check the price shown at Amazon before buying.

How we chose the best Prime Day toy deals
For this deals round-up, we’ve focused on value rather than simply including every discounted product. We considered both the percentage reduction and the amount saved in pounds, as well as what each toy offers for the price.
We’ve also limited the list to a maximum of two products from any one brand. Where brands such as LEGO, BRIO and VTech have multiple offers, we’ve prioritised the deals that offer the strongest combination of discount and play value.
The best Prime Day toy deals
Hot Wheels City Ultimate T-Rex Transporter, RRP £89.99, now £45.99 (Save £44 or 49%)
Why we chose it: At 49% off, this is the biggest percentage discount in our shortlist. The £44 saving is substantial too, while the toy combines vehicle storage, racing and transformation play in one set.

- Now: £45.99
- You save: £44 / 49%

At £45.99 rather than £89.99, this is one of the strongest toy deals we found. The playset works as both a transporter and an action toy: children can load it with cars, roll it along to “eat” vehicles and transform it into a Robo T-Rex.
There’s plenty of repeat play built in too, from racing cars down its back to launching vehicles from its mouth. Being able to store more than 20 cars is a useful bonus for children who already have a growing Hot Wheels collection.

How to find the best Prime Day toy deals
Look at the pounds saved as well as the percentage
A big percentage discount is eye-catching, but the cash saving matters too. A 38% reduction on a larger LEGO set, for example, can still mean more than £30 off the price.
Check the current selling price
Amazon deals can move quickly throughout a sale. Check the current selling price and the reference price shown on the product page before buying.
Start with toys already on your Christmas list
A sale is most useful when it reduces the price of something you already intended to buy. A smaller discount on the right toy can be better value for your family than a huge reduction on something your child doesn’t particularly want.
Compare deals from the same brand
Some brands have many products discounted at once. We’ve limited this list to a maximum of two products per brand rather than including every offer.
Check what’s included
When comparing playsets, look beyond the headline percentage. Sets that include figures, vehicles, track or lots of accessories may offer better overall play value than a cheaper-looking deal that requires additional purchases.
Remember that Amazon prices can change
The prices in this article were correct at the time of publication. Always check the final price shown on Amazon before completing your purchase.
