Sunsoft is Back: Retro Game Selection 2 announced for Nintendo Switch

Sunsoft is Back: Retro Game Selection 2 is in the works and will ship on Nintendo Switch, Sunsoft just announced. We know that it’s coming to Japan on December 17, 2026, but we’re waiting for confirmation about the western release date.
Sunsoft is Back: Retro Game Selection 2 includes four early Famicom titles. Players can expect support for saves and rewind functionality as well as a Gallery Mode featuring a selection of rare material from the original games, including concept artwork, promotional flyers, and more.

This collection brings together some of Sunsoft’s most memorable retro titles from the 1980s, from major hits to hidden gems known only to dedicated fans.
Use the newly added save and rewind features to finally beat that game you could never quite beat back then.
The collection also includes a Gallery Mode featuring a selection of rare material from the original games, including concept artwork, promotional flyers, and more. Much of which you won’t find anywhere else!

An adventure RPG hidden gem from Sunsoft, released in 1989. One day, while traveling in India, you discover a mysterious wooden box that the king Maharaja has been searching for. This discovery draws you into a battle that will ultimately determine the fate of the world…
