    • Record-Breaking Launch: Granite: Powerless #1 & #2 has officially become Summit Comics’ fastest-funding book to date, outpacing the successful initial campaign for the first issue.
    • The Story: Following the loss of her superhuman abilities, the formerly invincible Granite must navigate life as an ordinary person in Los Angeles.
    • Expansion of the Universe: The project is part of the interconnected Summit Universe, offering a fresh entry point for new readers while continuing the narrative for existing fans.
    • Campaign Live: The Kickstarter for issues #1 and #2 is currently active and available for backer support.

Summit Comics is celebrating a major milestone this week as their latest project, Granite: Powerless #1 & #2, has officially become the fastest-funding book in the company’s history. Following the successful initial campaign for Granite: Powerless #1—which hit its goal in less than 24 hours and eventually raised nearly three times its target—the team is back to continue the story of their fan-favorite super-powered party girl.

Created and the story takes a fascinating turn, stripping away the very things that define the title character. After being separated from her superhuman abilities, Granite is forced to navigate the realities of life in Los Angeles as an ordinary person

“Granite has always been a character who embraces the fun, excess and absurdity that can come with being a superhero,” said Hudson. “Powerlesslets us strip all of that away and ask what happens when someone who has spent years believing she’s invincible suddenly isn’t. Issue #2 pushes her even further into that new reality.”

Granite is a key piece of the Summit Universe, an interconnected world built by a collective of nearly 20 independent comic creators. The current Kickstarter for Granite: Powerless #1 & #2 offers a perfect jumping-on point for new readers looking to dive into this unique superhero world, while also allowing returning fans to follow Granite’s complicated, stripped-down journey.

The Kickstarter campaign is currently live. You can find more information and support the project at the link below:
