TheStar Trek Voyager: Across the Unknownvideo game has today added new story-based downloadable content (DLC) alongside a free update and news of more DLC to follow. We’ve got a full briefing for captains, below.
“Delta Chronicles” DLC live
Players can today buy Across the Unknown‘s first story-based DLC, “Delta Chronicles,” through an Expansion Pass bundle or as a separate purchase. According to publisher Daedalic, “Delta Chronicles” adds five new missions into Across the Unknown, each based upon iconic Star Trek: Voyager episodes: “Distant Origin,” “The Omega Directive,” “Cold Fire,” “Homestead,” and “Inside Man.”
The DLC also adds two new heroes that can join Voyager’s crew — a holographic Reginald Barclay and Voth Professor Forra Gegen — alongside new technologies, and four new NPC ships including a Ferengi Marauder and a Voth City Ship.

New Expansion Pass adds four total pieces of DLC
The new DLC is available as a separate purchase or as part of several Across the Unknown bundles, including a new “Expansion Pass” which offers up four total pieces of DLC including today’s “Delta Chronicles;” the remaining three pieces of DLC will follow later.
Most notably, the game’s next piece of DLC will make Captain Ransom’s U.S.S. Equinox a “playable starship,” Daedalic and developer gameXcite confirmed. Additional DLCs will add new missions and a new sector to explore.
“In total, the Expansion Pass includes four premium DLCs, each adding substantial new content to the game – from new story missions and playable characters to new ships and new technologies – and thus entirely new ways to experience the Delta Quadrant, warranting another playthrough even for seasoned Captains,” the pair added.

DLC pricing and bundles, made easy (or easyish)
There are multiple ways to purchase and play “Delta Chronicles” and future pieces of DLC, depending on if — and how — you already own the base game.
If you already own Across the Unknown, you can obtain “Delta Chronicles” in the following manners (with pricing obtained at the time of writing):
- “Delta Chronicles” DLC separate purchase: $9.99 on Steam, $9.99 on Epic Games Store, $9.99 on Xbox, $9.99 on PlayStation, and $9.99 on Switch 2.
- Across the Unknown Expansion Pass Bundle: $29.99 on Steam, $29.99 on Epic Games Store, $29.99 on Xbox, $29.99 on PlayStation, and $29.99 on Switch 2.

If you don’t own Across the Unknown as yet and want to play through all the content detailed in the image above, you’re likely best off purchasing the new “Captain’s Collection” bundle, which groups Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown, its “Deluxe” DLC, and the Expansion Pass and its contents. That bundle is currently $59.49 on Steam, $59.49 on Epic Games Store, $59.49 on Xbox, and $69.99 on PlayStation. We sadly couldn’t find the bundle on the Switch 2 Nintendo eShop.
Patch 1.8, available today, also adds free content
“Patch 1.8 brings a broad range of free content and improvements to Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown, including seven new ship quests and events, refined tech tree descriptions, UI upgrades, adjusted balancing, and quality-of-life improvements shaped in close collaboration with the game’s highly active community,” gameXcite and Daedalic said of today’s free update.
“The team is committed to a series of free updates for all players,” the pair continued. “In addition to the recently released Delta Flyer, further free content is planned – including new ship quests and, later this year, a major new game mode taking Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown in an exciting new direction with countless hours of additional playtime.”
As we’ve detailed previously, another free update — Patch 1.7 — brought the Delta Flyer into the game.
