    Sarah Michelle Gellar Proves Son Rocky Is Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Mini

    Ready or not, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.‘s son has grown into his mini-me.

    The Scooby-Doo alums spent the weekend supporting son Rocky, 14, at the racetrack—their Mystery Inc. characters might mistake them for cloning after seeing Rocky’s resemblance to his dad.

    Gellar and her second-born were all smiles as he posed in his racing uniform, with the Ready or Not 2 star captioning the Oct. 26 carousel, “Race weekend with my boys.”

    Indeed, the She’s All That actor was also enjoying the family bonding weekend, as seen in a cute selfie with Gellar—also mom to daughter Charlotte, 17, with her I Know What You Did Last Summer costar—from the sidelines.

    And Rocky’s certified mini-me status has only increased after getting a buzzcut matching his father’s signature hairstyle. In a photo from his birthday September 20, Gellar showed off a sweet side-by-side shot where the drag racer had previously sported a much longer cut.

    “And then, there were two. Three years and one day later @rockyprinze came racing into our lives,” the 49-year-old reminisced in a celebratory post on Instagram, referring to his arrival after older sister Charlotte. “I should have known from your speedy delivery, the excitement you would bring.”

    In fact, Rocky’s love of sports is one of the traits Gellar admires most about her son.

    “You have no idea how lucky I feel to watch you chase your dream,” she continued. “You inspire not just me, but everyone around you. Happy Birthday Rocky.”

    And with their busy careers it’s no surprise the couple of over two decades—the wed in 2002, years after meeting on their 1997 movie—cherish life at home as parents to teenagers.

    “Dinners for me are really important,” Gellar told E! News in 2024. “We’re a food family, food friends, we love to cook.”

    Aside from regularly sharing meals unplugged thanks to their family’s no-phone rule, they also fit in game time.

    “We play board games,” she shared. “I puzzle-overloaded during Covid so I had to take a little break from puzzles, but we do a lot of board games and card games.”
