Major League Soccer teamSan Diego FChas announced its first partnership withVIZ Mediafor a special Captain Tsubasacollaboration during its 2026 Baja Cup match against Club Tijuana on September 16, 2026.
The collaboration will include a “Captain Tsubasa Ticket Package” that contains a ticket to the Baja Cup match, along with an exclusive limited-editionCaptain Tsubasascarf.
More details regarding the partnership with VIZ Media andCaptain Tsubasawill be announced at a later date.
TheCaptain Tsubasasoccer manga byYoichi Takahashiwas serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1981 to 1988. Thirty-seven total tankobon volumes were released in Japan.
The manga inspired several TV anime series and films, as well as multiple sequel manga and video games.
