RH WORLDS TO PUBLISH ‘MARVEL’S MASTERING THE ART OF COMICS’
Guide for Comics Creators by Writer Alex Segura

Random House Worlds will publish a new guide for would-be comics creators this fall: Marvel’s Mastering the Art of Comics, by writer Alex Segura, who has written comics for Marvel, DC, and Archie, among others, in addition to Alter Ego and other mystery novels. The book will cover storytelling, character creation, cover design, high-impact visuals, and pitching stories to publishers and will include quotes and interviews with over a dozen Marvel creators. The text will be accompanied by artwork from Marvel titles including X-Men, Daredevil, The Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man,among others. Random House Worlds will release the 256-page, 8” x 10” hardcover on October 20, 2026, with an MSRP of $35.00.
Segura’s Marvel work includes the Star Wars: Battle of Jakku saga (see “Marvel Releases More Details”), and he was also a contributor to Edge of Spider-Verse (see “Preview: ‘Edge of Spider-Verse’ #1”). He was also SVP – Sales and Marketing at Oni Press, Co-President of Archie Comics, and (see “Segura to Oni from Archie”), and Executive Director of Publicity at DC.
