    Ramayana: CBFC clears two trailer cuts with over 4-minutes runtime

    CBFC clears two versions of Ramayana trailer with U certification, runtime revealed

    Ahead of Ramayana`s trailer launch on July 24, the CBFC has listed two versions. The online trailer runs 4 minutes 15 seconds, while the theatrical cut is 4 minutes, sparking speculation over exclusive footage for cinema audience

    Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is undoubtedly one of the biggest cinematic spectacles releasing this year. As anticipation builds, the makers recently shared a poster revealing the trailer release date for Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s film. Ahead of the trailer launchon July 24, fresh details about its runtime have surfaced, hinting that the theatrical version may feature extra footage

    Ramayana trailer runtime

    The CBFC website currently lists two versions of the trailer. While one, titled ‘Trailer – Ramayana 3D’, has a runtime of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, the other, titled ‘Theatrical Trailer – Ramayana 3D’, runs for exactly 4 minutes. It remains to be seen whether the online version will offer fans 15 seconds of additional footage or if it will be reserved for audiences watching it on the big screen

    On July 11, the makers announced that they are set to unveil the film’s trailer to audiences worldwide on July 24, 2026. Taking to their social media pages, they shared a poster that read, “From Bharat to the World. For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now, it begins a new journey. One of Bharat’s greatest civilisational epics, presented to the world, at a scale never attempted before in Indian cinema. THE RAMAYANA TRAILER PREMIERES WORLDWIDE ON 24TH JULY.”

    Ramayana to be promoted in China

    A few days ago, mid-day reported that director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are exploring a promotional campaign for Ramayana: Part 1 in China ahead of the magnum opus’s release. This signals renewed efforts to tap into a market that has largely remained shut to Bollywood since 2020.
