Yami was named Best Actress at the 72nd National Film Awards for her portrayal of NIA officer Zooni Haksar in Article 370. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and produced by her husband Aditya Dhar, the film emerged as one of the biggest winners at the awards, also taking home the Best Feature Film honour and Best Music Director.
Soon after the announcement, Yami shared an emotional note expressing gratitude for the recognition. She dedicated the award to everyone who believed in the film and wrote that the honour belonged to “every dreamer” who chooses conviction over comfort. Her husband and producer, Aditya Dhar, also marked the milestone as a special moment for the entire team behind Article 370.
