This gaming desktop from CyberPowerPC is a bit dated, but it’s among the most affordable you’ll find in Amazon’s Prime Day sale. Its regular price is $789.99, but this sale drops it to $664.99, making it among the most affordable today. The hardware is a bit dated, with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor on the company’s aged AM4 platform and an AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card. While these parts are a bit older and aren’t suited for running games at 4K or maxed out settings, you will be able to play many games at 1080p quite well with this setup. It’s also the lowest price you’ll likely find for something that can justifiably call itself a “gaming PC,” now and going forward.

If you’re looking for something more modern and more powerful, CyberPowerPC has an attractive option for you, too. This model features more recent parts, including an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card, which is capable of running many games with maxed settings at 1080p. It even has enough muscle to run some games at 4K, but your mileage here will vary depending on the game. The processor is likewise quite capable, with eight CPU cores based on AMD’s Zen 4 microarchitecture. Add to that 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD, both of which have been shooting up in price lately, and it’s easy to see the appeal of this well-rounded gaming PC.
Regularly priced at $1,499.99, this system drops to $1,282 for Prime Day, making it a hot mid-tier option priced at the top end of the budget spectrum.
MSI Aegis R2 Gaming Desktop
Intel Core Ultra 9 285 CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD

MSI built this blazing-fast gaming desktop with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor, which is one of the fastest CPUs on the market today. It also has a plentiful 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD for ample game storage. MSI included an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card in this build as well, which is one of the best graphics cards for gaming at 2K resolutions. Though it does nothing to improve the speed, the system is also sharp-looking with several ARGB LED fans, a sleek black exterior, and a large, tempered-glass side panel.
Be ready to pay a hefty amount for this level of performance. This system is regularly priced at $3,299.99, but it drops to $2,056 during the Prime Day sale. While still expensive, this is one of the largest-dollar discounts you’ll find on a gaming PC during the sale.

FAQ
Do Gaming Desktops Go on Sale for Amazon Prime Day?
Absolutely, and without fail, you’ll find gaming desktops at discounted prices on Prime Day. Sales on high-profile rigs from brands like Dell and MSI are expected as a matter of course on each Prime Day sales event. Honestly, at this point, it doesn’t make much sense to buy a desktop, especially gaming PCs, outside of a sales holiday.
What is the Best Time to Buy a Gaming Desktop?
Like most tech products, the best month to buy a new gaming desktop is in November with Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Prime Day consistently delivers, but every major retailer and product manufacturer brings the heat just after Thanksgiving, in that final stretch before the holidays. Cyber Monday has always brought the most en
Are Gaming Desktops Actually Cheaper on Amazon Prime Day?
This depends on which of the Prime Days you’re talking about (spring, summer, or fall), because the closer you get to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, sometimes that means the less likely you’ll see a top-tier price cut on the rig you’re chasing. Desktops are almost always cheaper on Prime Days versus regular shopping times, but not necessarily closely prior to or following other shopping holidays.
