A number of popular PlayStation games on PC have disappeared from Steam, including Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West.

While PlayStation is pulling out of releasing new first-party single-player games on PC, the console giant hasn’t announced any plans to remove current PC portsfrom sale, especially multiplayer titles. This led to a surprise for some gamers when multiple PC PlayStation games were unavailable on Steam in the UK.

At the time of writing, multiple games are missing in the UK, including popular multiplayer game Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West. The issue may also relate to other regions, but the missing games have been most reported in the United Kingdom at the time of writing.

Other titles, including Spider-Man 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Marathon, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, appear to be fine. However, the aforementioned games’ store pages are completely missing, leaving players unable to buy the titles.

Due to Valve’s consumer protection policies, these games are still completely playable for those who have bought them. If you already own Helldivers 2, you’ll still be able to launch your copy of the game while this issue persists. However, new users are unable to buy the game.

In a statement to VGC, Sony confirmed that the issue has not been introduced on purpose, although they also did not reveal why the games are missing from Steam. “We are aware f an issue affecting the availability of select titles on Steam in the UK,’ the company said. “We are working with Valve to address the issue.”

With this in mind, it shouldn’t be long until both of the affected titles are available again, but it does show the fallibility of digital marketplaces. With Sony’s anti-consumer pushes this generation, many immediately took the games’ disappearance to be a sign of Sony pulling away from its existing PC releases, but that is not the case.

While PlayStation’s single-player titles haven’t performed spectacularly on PC, Helldivers 2 has been a huge success for the company. Arrowhead Game Studios’ often-buggy-but-awesome co-op game has sold millions of copies, and has seen major support through its paid warbonds structure. In fact, it might be one of the best multiplayer games of the generation.
