Following the success of Barbie(2023), Mattel has been eager to keep the plastic doll in the centre of attention (as she should be). Now, after Margot Robbie’s press tour highlighting all the different eras of Barbie’s fashion, it’s time for the plastic doll herself to go on her own era-jumping adventure in new Dark Horse Comics series Barbie: Together in Time.
Announced today at New York Comic Con, the six-issue Barbie: Together in Time miniseries will chronicle Barbie and her creatively-named friend, Barbie, as they embark on a mission across time. The series comes from the creative team of writer Ben Kahn, artist Natalie Nardozza, colorist Heather Breckel, and letterer Frank Cvetkovic. Bowen McCurdy provides the cover for the first issue.
After the disappearance of Ken in an unexplained supercollider test run, it’s up to Barbie and Barbie to jump through time to find him again. However, it’s not always smooth sailing for the doll duo, and accessing time energy can come with its fair share of complications.
Check out more cover art for the series from artists Laia López, Gretel Lusky, and Paulina Ganucheaubelow. Barbie: Together in Time will come flying into comic book stores on February 10 2027.
