Warner Bros. Discovery has about four months to get the Barbie sequel underway, and with more than six rejected offers to make it happen, it looks like its future is in jeopardy.

Whitney Houston has been immortalised with her first Barbie doll, unveiled on what would’ve been her 63rd birthday (Aug 9) and styled after her I Wanna Dance with Somebody look.

It features the New Jersey native in the outfit she wore for her “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” video, including the purple tank dress with colorful drop earrings and vibrant eye makeup.

The road back to Barbie Land has hit an expensive speed bump. Despite Barbie becoming one of the biggest movies in Hollywood history, a sequel has reportedly stalled as Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has yet to approve richer compensation packages for stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, putting the future of the franchise…

The clock is ticking on a Barbie sequel, with Warner Bros. reportedly running out of time to stop it from slipping away entirely.
