Nintendo has locked in its San Diego Comic-Con 2026 plans, and one of the biggest draws is Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. The game will get one of its first U.S. hands-on appearances during the July 23 to 26 show, a few months before it launches October 22, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2

The demo will be set up at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel, where attendees can try the Switch 2-exclusive sequel for themselves. Nintendo says four of the game’s 12 sports will be playable there, but it still hasn’t said which four will make up the full demo lineup
The game brings players back to Wuhu Island from Wii Sports Resort and pairs returning events like bowling and tennis with newer additions such as skateboarding and thumb wrestling. That makes Comic-Con a pretty natural place to show off the more social, easy-to-pick-up side of Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo also says Splatoon Raiders will be there, and that game launches July 23
Taken together, this feels like a solid snapshot of Nintendo Switch 2’s 2026 lineup, especially with hands-on stations and live activities planned across the event. One thing still up in the air is The Rizzler’s involvement, which Nintendo hasn’t clarified despite earlier reports and his 2025 Nintendo promos
For now, Nintendo’s official line only mentions friendly competitions and solo challenges. Either way, Comic-Con attendees will get a chance to try the demos before Nintendo Switch Sports Resort arrives later this year on Nintendo Switch 2
