    That’s the game!

The more people who own your gaming hardware, the bigger the potential audience for software. Directly related to that is the software itself, as the more variety you have out there, the bigger and more varied an audience you’ll attract to your hardware. Nintendo knows this very well, and they plan to work on this going forward. (h/t Stealth40k)

As part of their latest fiscal report, Nintendo mentioned titles they released for the Switch 2 in the current fiscal year. The latest game was Splatoon Raiders which dropped just a couple weeks back on July 23rd, 2026. Coming hot on its heels will be Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on Sept. 17th, 2026. That’s a quick turnaround for first party titles from the Big N, but Nintendo understands how important it is to keep up that cadence.

While sharing a detailed look at their Q1 2026-2027 results, Nintendo stated that they believe “releasing new titles at regular intervals is crucial for building a foundation” on which to expand their hardware install base. Furthermore, Nintendo says this continuous release of new titles helps “expand hardware to a wider range of consumers.”

You never know what game will convince someone to pick up a piece of hardware, and Nintendo is determined to put out quite a selection for Switch 2, and at a steady tick. Of course, third party offerings sweeten the pot that much more, and we’re seeing plenty of that on Switch 2 as well. Hopefully Nintendo can keep up their quantity and quality output, which will only cause the Switch 2 to soar higher.

    Anne Hathaway’s Little-Seen, Short

    By JamesJuly 6, 20260

Acting for a living can take you down some peculiar avenues. Consider Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg. In the 2010s, they lent their voices to the “Rio” movies as an oil and water pair of blue Spix’s macaws who fall in love. But a decade before becoming animated amorous at-lived dramedy series “Get Real.”
