Star Fox fans have been having a good time of late. First there was the reinvention of Star Fox 64 with the new Star Fox game for <a href="https://comicvibe.com/the-confusing-discrepancies-of-nintendo-switch-2-editions/” title=”The confusing discrepancies of Nintendo Switch 2 Editions”>Nintendo Switch 2. Now, they can relive the glory of Rare’s Star Fox Adventures, which launched on Nintendo GameCube back in 2002. The game has officially be rereleased as part of the GameCube library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. Here’s a look:
Star Fox Adventures is different from previous series installments in that it features Fox running around on foot for the bulk of the game, with ship-based combat more sporadic and infrequent. There are some hints of Zelda in the gameplay, and it’s also a rather pretty effort from Rare, which would subsequently go on to be purchased by Microsoft after Star Fox Adventures launched.
As is ever the case, if you’re interested in playing this GameCube classic, you’ll need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription and a Nintendo Switch 2. Once you do, simply update the application and the game will be there for you to play.
