[Let’s Talk] September 2026 Nintendo Direct reactions

Nintendo treated fans to not one, but two Directs this week. The first one was all about The Legend of Zelda, and mostly focused on showing off the Ocarina of Time remake. The second one was more of what we’re used to – announcements from both Nintendo and third-parties.

We’ll focus on the second one. As far as Nintendo games go, we found out about Metroid Ravenous, Kirby and the World Beyond, Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – Definitive Edition. Third-parties filled things out with titles like Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain, Onyx: The Dark Grip, Metal Slug Ultimate Collection, Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival, and ports of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4. Highlights from last week’s topic: What are you playing? – September 2026

I have been mostly focusing on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Darksiders 1 on XSS, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Persona 4 Golden on Switch, No More Heroes 2 on the Wii and Monster Hunter Stories on the 3DS.
Recently I finished Persona 3P, Shin Megami Tensei Soul Hacker, Castlevania Portrait of Ruin and No More Heroes 1, I’m slowly working on my HUGE backlog.

Star wars zero company is dope, also fantasian neo dimension is really good. I’ve done a few days in pikmin 3 but I can see myself getting distracted when my copy of onimusha shows up

Been playing Unicorn Overlord while I wait for Fortune’s Weave. Currently close to 3/5 of the game. Almost done with the Elf Kingdom.

About halfway through Cosmic Invasion with my kid yesterday.
Been at Mario RPG and Final Fantasy Rebirth. I got stuck on some part where I am supposed to walk around finding soldiers in a town and it felt tedious. The open world sidequests are superior.
