The second Direct of the week brought news of new Metroid and Kirby games, and much more.
Following yesterday’s Direct focusing on The Legend of Zelda, the September 2026 Nintendo Direct is happening soon, and we have the official live stream. We’ve rounded up the broadcasts for North America, Europe, and Japan.
Nintendo has too much to announce for one broadcast this week, so it is running two. Before Wednesday’s general showcase of Nintendo Switch 2 games, the company is dedicating a separate stream to The Legend of Zelda, timed to the series’ 40th anniversary. The headline item is already confirmed: the Ocarina of Time remake.
What a treat! Not one, but two Nintendo Directs have been scheduled for early September. The first on September 8th will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series, and the following day we’ll see a standard Nintendo Direct. Both will be available livey app

A new Nintendo Direct presentation will air next week on September 9, Nintendo just announced. This will be taking place at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.
September is here and that means we are in for loads of new tech reveals, the latest from Apple, and, presumably, the next Nintendo Direct. And with fans eagerly awaiting news on the Zelda Ocarina of Time remake, I’m not sure anticipation for the September Nintendo Direct could be any higher.
A new prediction from an insider claims that we might be getting a Nintendo Direct in early September. If true, we could finally see the first gameplay footage of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake before it launches later this year.
