“Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 picks up following the events in Shibuya, where Kenjaku’s master plan has left Satoru Gojo incapacitated. As the higher-ups order the execution of Yuuji Itadori, a new threat emerges: Kenjaku has initiated the “Culling Game,” a brutal, Japan-wide battle royale that forces sorcerers to fight to the death. Yuuji, along with other young sorcerers, must enter the fray to settle old scores, liberate the jujutsu world, and find a way to free Gojo.”
Ribbon Hero (2026) N
Coming to Netflix: August 8, 2026
One of the oldest and most beloved Japanese manga, Princess Knight, is finally getting a modern adaptation! Led by director Yuki Igarashi, who previously worked on Jujutsu Kaisen and Star Wars Visions, plans to pay his utmost respect to Princess Knight creator Ichizo Kobayashi with the brand new adaptation.
“Sapphire is the princess of a kingdom that no longer exists. Having lost everything in her homeland of Silverland to the calamity known as ‘Nergal,’ she wanders in despair until she finally arrives in Goldland.
Though burdened by her past, she begins to find a glimmer of hope as she encounters the kindness of the people there. But as if to sneer at her peaceful new life, the calamity Nergal appears once more. The very despair that once reduced her homeland to ashes now threatens to steal the light from this land as well.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run 2nd Stage
Coming to Netflix: September 25, 2026
Controversially, Steel Ball Run isn’t receiving weekly or even monthly new episodes, as each “stage” will be released periodically on Netflix. This has left fans devastated online and sparked a major backlash over Netflix’s decision to release the new season.
Blue Box (Season 2) N
Coming to Netflix: October 2026
Telecom Animation Film did a wonderful job with the first season of Blue Box, and, naturally, fans are already super excited for the second season. We now have confirmation that the second season will be released in October 2026!
Taiki Inomata, a freshman of Eimei Senior High, is a member of the high school badminton team and is in love with Chinatsu Kano, a second-year and the ace of the girls’ basketball team.
Ranma 1/2 (Season 3)

The second season of Ranma 1/2 only came to an end, so fans will be delighted that the wait for more episodes will be less than a year to drop on Netflix!
The lives of three daughters, Akane, Nabiki, and Kasumi, get turned upside down when their father, Soun Tendou, who runs the Tendou Martial Arts School, promises that at least one of his daughters will be wed to another martial artist’s son. Ranma and his father, Genma, arrive, but they hide a great secret: whenever water touches the pair, Ranma turns into a girl, and Genma turns into a giant panda. Ranma, who becomes betrothed to the youngest of the Tendou sisters, Akane, must learn to get along with his future wife, and the pair begin attending school together.

“The story centers around Koyuki Hikawa, a socially withdrawn student who keeps an emotional wall between herself and others. The only person she spends time with is her longtime friend, Miki Azumi. The aloof Koyuki, the high school idol Miki, the overly familiar Minato and the laid-back basketball player Yota share an awkward, occasionally frustrating, yet wholesome student life.”
Bass X Machina (Season 1) N
Coming to Netflix: October 6, 2026
From South Korean animation studio Studio Mir, an exciting new anime is headed to Netflix later this year. The series will feature the voice talent of Brian Tyree Henry, Janelle Monáe, Tati Gabrielle, Cree Summer, Chaske Spencer, Currie Graham, and Starlette DuPois.
“In a lawless Steampunk West overrun by brutal outlaws, machines, and supernatural terrors, a father is forced to become judge, jury, and executioner—knowing that every act of justice meant to protect his family may ultimately cost him the very people he’s fighting to save.”
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Season 2) N
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a great hit not only for Netflix but also for the Cyberpunk Game, helping revitalize the game, which had a poor launch, and has since become one of the best video games of its generation. The new season will follow a brand new cast of colorful and zany characters, so be prepared to have your heart broken all over again.
Let’s hope the second season won’t traumatize fans as much as the first!
Anime Coming to Netflix Beyond 2026
Beat & Motion (Season 1)
Beat & Motion has been a long time in the making, and for a while, it seemed like the anime would never be released! Thankfully, a huge update revealed the anime will be released sometime in 2027.
“Tatsuhiko Hirayama, a young man who abandons his childhood passion for drawing after being bullied. Seeking a new creative outlet, he turns to music but quickly feels discouraged by his own mediocrity. After a blunt, drunken lecture from a stranger forces him to rethink his life, Tatsuhiko gives animation another shot. His new animated video goes viral, catching the attention of his favorite singer, Nico Kashiwagi, who invites him to collaborate. To his shock, Nico is the very same woman who scolded him, sparking an unexpected, passionate artistic partnership”
The One Piece (Season 1) N
Coming to Netflix: February 2027
TOEI Animation has been responsible for producing the One Piece anime since the 90s, but the remake of the East Blue Arc is in the hands of WIT Studio. The story will significantly reduce the runtime of Toe’s adaptation, offering fans and newcomers more engaging pacing.

The Summer Hikaru Died (Season 2) N
After a fantastic first season, it took barely a day before CygamesPictures announced production for the second season of The Summer Hikaru Died. We’re not sure when the second season will land on Netflix, but we are hoping for a 2026 release.
Two best friends living in a rural Japanese village: Yoshiki and Hikaru. Growing up together, they were inseparable… until the day Hikaru came back from the mountains and was no longer himself. “Something” has taken over Hikaru’s body, memories, feelings… and everything they know begins to unravel.
Sakamoto Days (Season 2) N
Coming to Netflix: January 2027
Sakamoto Days has yet to be renewed for a second season, but we expect to hear of a renewal sooner rather than later! The series, much like Dan Da Dan, has been an extremely popular addition to the Netflix library, and continues Netflix’s effort to bring more weekly anime content to the streaming service.
Dan Da Dan (Season 3)
Dan Dan has been one of the most popular anime titles on Netflix over the past year, having been watched by millions worldwide. Science Saru has done an incredible job with the anime so far, and fans can look forward to the adaptation of the Space Globalists Arc
The series is centered on two high school students, Momo and Okarun. Momo, who believes in ghosts, and Okarun, who believes in aliens, each deny the existence of the other, that is, until one fateful night on a dare, when Okarun has a run-in with a malicious spirit and Momo with over-inquisitive aliens, the pair find themselves stepping into the world of the paranormal and supernatural.

Delicious in Dungeon (Season 2)
Coming to Netflix: October 2027
After being renewed a couple of years ago, fans have been desperate for more Delicious in Dungeon. The wait won’t be much longer, with just over a year until the anime returns on Netflix.

Stripped of their gold and provisions, the team faces starvation until they meet Senshi, a dwarf chef with a passion for cooking monsters.
