MUMBAI: Why hop between apps when the next binge is waiting under one roof? Netflix is widening its menu, serving everything from celebrity stories to cooking hacks and home makeovers alongside its usual blockbuster fare.

Netflix has launched The Culture Edit, a new content destination that brings together videos from leading digital publishers, expanding its offering beyond films and scripted series into lifestyle, food, travel, fashion, wellness and entertainment programming.

The new hub is now available to subscribers across all subscription plans in six markets, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Designed to make discovering internet-first content easier, The Culture Edit features a mix of licensed videos and ongoing series from established media brands, allowing members to watch popular digital programming without leaving the Netflix platform.

Among the flagship titles are Architectural Digest’s Open Door, Elle’s Where Is the Lie?, People’s My Life in Pictures and Tastemade’s Struggle Meals. Netflix said the collection will continue to expand with programmes spanning travel inspiration, cooking, celebrity features, fashion trends, home design, gardening and wellness.

The food and cooking section includes content from publishers such as Bon Appétit, Epicurious, Eater, Food & Wine, Tasty and Vogue.

Fashion and beauty enthusiasts can browse programming from Allure, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle and Vanity Fair, while the home category features content from Architectural Digest, House & Garden, People and Vogue.

Travel programming draws on content from Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appétit, Travel + Leisure and Town & Country, while the entertainment slate features videos from BuzzFeed Celeb, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, People, Rolling Stone, Variety, Vanity Fair, Wired and The Hollywood Reporter.

The platform has also expanded into fitness and wellness, with videos from Self, Women’s Health, Teen Vogue and other lifestyle publishers.

The move reflects Netflix’s broader strategy of increasing viewer engagement by bringing more creator-led and publisher-produced content onto its platform. By integrating lifestyle programming with its traditional entertainment catalogue, the streamer is looking to make Netflix a destination not just for premium originals, but also for everyday cultural discovery.
