A new animated Naruto movie will be announced during the Naruto panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026, featuring the Japanese voice cast and franchise producers. The panel at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center will reveal details about the movie’s worldwide premiere, marking the first Naruto film announcement in over a decade. The last Naruto-centered movie, The Last: Naruto the Movie, released 12 years ago, while Boruto: Naruto the Movie came out 11 years ago, making this a significant return for the franchise, according to reports by Variety and anime media.
Japanese voice actors Junko Takeuchi (Naruto Uzumaki) and Noriaki Sugiyama (Sasuke Uchiha) will appear alongside Studio Pierrot executive producer Yoshihiko Tominaga and a Bandai representative.
“The panel will cover updates across the Naruto animation franchise and the Naruto Card Game,” said Variety. Additional surprise announcements about other Naruto media projects are expected during the event.
The announcement comes amid ongoing developments in the Naruto franchise, including a live-action adaptation directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. “Series creator Masashi Kishimoto has expressed excitement about Cretton’s adaptation,” reported CBR, while global casting continues for the live-action film.
After the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations TV series ended in 2023, the Naruto franchise has been largely dormant except for delays in the 20th-anniversary specials, which are also anticipated to be updated or released in conjunction with the new projects.
