Meghan Markle is headed back to TV.
Entertainment Weekly sister site, PEOPLE, confirmed on Tuesday that the Suitsalum will appear as a special guest on the upcoming season of Junior MasterChef Australia, set to premiere next year. The show’s producers confirmed that Meghan will appear alongside host celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow to “help guide the next generation of young culinary talent.”
The Duchess of Sussex previously appeared on MasterChef Australiathis past April. In Tuesday’s press release, Meghan said that her past experience on the reality cooking show made her return an “easy yes.” She added, “I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what they cook up!”
PEOPLE noted that while the show will film in Australia, Meghan will only be in the country for a few weeks. There are no plans for her family, including Prince Harry and kids Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, to relocate. (The family recently moved back to England after living in the United States for six years.)

Meghan rose to fame as an actress, appearing as Rachel Zane on Suitsfor seven seasons, until 2017, so she’s no stranger to the TV world. She stepped away from her acting career when marrying Harry in 2018. The couple had a tumultuous relationship with the Duke of Sussex’s family, which led them to step away from royal duties in 2020. In the aftermath, Meghan has created a name for herself in the lifestyle space. Not only did she launch the As Ever brand last year, but the Duchess of Sussex hosted two seasons of the Netflix lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan.
Word of Meghan’s latest TV gig comes after news broke late last week that her father, Thomas Markle Sr., is being accused of obtaining a “huge stash” of child pornography. Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., made the allegation to local law enforcement in the Philippines, where Thomas lived before moving back to America earlier this year.
Meghan reacted in a statement to EW last week, noting that she was “deeply distressed” by the claims against her father. “My thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed,” Meghan said, claiming that in 2018 she received a letter from London’s Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection that made “troubling and disturbing allegations” against Thomas Sr. “I was given assurances that these were being investigated,” she said. (Multiple outlets have since reported that Thomas’ late ex-wife wrote the alleged letter.)
“I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them,” she continued. “I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.”

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Thomas Sr. has vehemently denied the “bulls—” allegations made by his son.
“I’m shocked, I’m hurt and I’m very upset that my son is making these accusations against me. I could never do what I’m being accused of. It’s the worst thing anyone could accuse me of,” Thomas’ statement read, in part. “It’s just a bunch of lies. It’s sick. I have no idea why Tom is trying to destroy me with these lies.”
