San Diego Comic-Con 2026 continues to deliver big news for DC action figure collectors. Mattel is keeping the momentum going with fresh reveals on the show floor. First shared online by toy community insider In Pursuit of Toys, Mattel has officially unveiled the upcoming roster for the Mattel DC Premier Series 3 line.
This latest wave expands Mattel’s popular 6.5-inch scale action figure lineup with four heavy-hitting additions: two distinct Batman figure variants, a long-awaited New 52 edition of Nightwing, and the formidable mercenary Deathstroke.
What’s Included in Mattel DC Premier Series 3?
The Series 3 lineup balances iconic heroes with one of the most lethal villains in the DC Universe. Here is a breakdown of the four figures revealed in this wave:
1. Batman Variant with Harness
The Caped Crusader returns with a new iteration tailored for dynamic display poses. Mattel continues to utilize its updated 6.5-inch body architecture, featuring pinless articulation joints, a fabric soft-goods cape, and clean chest emblem paint applications.
2. Stealth Suit Batman Variant
Giving collectors variety, the second Batman figure in Mattel DC Premier Series 3 looks to be repackaging the Stealth Suit Batman from wave 2. I could be wrong, and their could be some subtle change that I cannot see, but this worries me.
3. Nightwing (New 52 Era)
Dick Grayson makes his return to the line in his recognizable red-and-black New 52 suit design. Featuring crisp chest logo paint details and specialized back-mounting holsters for his signature Escrima batons, this figure gives comic book fans the modern era look they have been requesting.
4. Deathstroke (Slade Wilson)
Rounding out the wave as the primary antagonist is Deathstroke. Styled after his classic comic appearance, Slade Wilson comes equipped with his trademark split-color mask, half orange, half black, and detailed armor sculpting. As one of the premier mercenaries in DC Comics, Deathstroke provides an ideal display foil for both Batman and Nightwing.
Release Information
Unfortunately, I do not have information on a release date just yet.
Since re-establishing its presence in 6.5-inch DC figures, Mattel has focused on building consistent scaling and rich accessory packs. Previous releases in the DC Premier line proved that collectors respond well to multi-articulated figures that bridge the gap between mass-retail playability and adult collector display quality.
