RED BANK, NJ — Filmmaker Kevin Smith is set to host a comic book signing event at Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash in August.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, Smith will be at the comic book shop in Red Bank for an in-store signing after the release of his new Marvel Comics mini-series “Spiderman/Hulk: Fire & Brimstone.”
At the event, attendees will be able to celebrate the new comic release with Smith’s signing and a store-exclusive cover drawn by John Sprengelmeyer.
There are no advance tickets for the event. Attendees can pick their package and pay the day of when they get to the front counter.
Autograph package options include:
- Comes with one signed copy of the Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash exclusive cover and one signed copy of a Marvel Comics cover.

All regular covers will be pre-signed. Ratioed cover variants are also available for purchase.
Doors for the event will open at noon and close by 5 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as depending on how quickly the line grows, the comic book shop may need to cap the line at some point during the signing.
Attendees in line will be admitted to the shop in groups starting at noon.
Once inside, you’ll be able to go to the front counter and choose and pay for one of the three autograph packages available, as well as any add-ons you may want.
Only guests who purchase an autograph package will be eligible to get signed comics. Attendees may not bring other items for Smith to sign.
