The Kagurabachi anime is expanding its worldwide promotional tour with two new stops in Johannesburg and Melbourne, where fans will be able to watch the first 20 minutes of Episode 1 before the series premieres in April 2027. The second part of the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour will begin in September, with screenings planned at Comic Con Africa and PAX Aus.

At Comic Con Africa in Johannesburg, the premiere screening will take place on September 27 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre. The event will include the first 20 minutes of Episode 1, along with a special appearance and panel featuring Kagurabachi anime producer Kenta Suzuki.

The tour will then head to Melbourne for PAX Aus on October 11. The first 20 minutes of the anime will be screened at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with another appearance from Suzuki during a special panel session.

This is the second part of the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour, which began in July with screenings at major conventions around the world. Part 1 included stops at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Japan Expo in Paris, AnimagiC in Mannheim, Otakon in Washington, D.C., and Anime NYC in New York.

More details about World Tour Part 3 and the final Japan tour are scheduled to be revealed this autumn.

The Kagurabachi anime is based on Takeru Hokazono’s Kagurabachi manga, which is currently serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has surpassed 4 million copies in circulation, including digital editions. The anime is being produced by Cypic, a CyberAgent group studio, with Tetsuya Takeuchi directing and Keigo Sasaki handling character design. Taihi Kimura voices protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira.

Kagurabachi follows Chihiro Rokuhira, the son of a renowned swordsmith, after an attack by the sorcerer organization Hishaku destroys his family and leaves six Enchanted Blades stolen. Chihiro takes up the seventh blade, Enten, which was left behind by his father, and sets out on a path of revenge.

The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in April 2027, with Crunchyroll, MUSE, and SMG HOLDINGS among the announced streaming partners.
