JUNE 2026 CIRCANA BOOKSCAN – TOP 20 ADULT GRAPHIC NOVELS
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Still Dominates
Posted by Brigid Alverson on July 14, 2026 @ 5:25 pm CT

Jujutsu Kaisen continues to dominate the chart of the Top 20 best-selling Adult graphic novels according to Circana BookScan data for June 2026 (5/31/2026 – 7/4/2026) provided to ICv2.The twin juggernauts of manga top June chart, with Vol. 30 of Jujutsu Kaisen returning to the number one spot for the second month in a row and Vol. 21 of Chainsaw Man, a June release, at number 2. There’s a decent amount of variety among the manga on the chart, with the BL horror The Summer Hikaru Died from Yen Press, the period costume drama The Apothecary Diaries from Square Enix, and the beautifully drawn fantasy Witch Hat Atelier from Kodansha joining the parade of Shonen Jump titles, although VIZ Media still has the edge with 12 of the 20 slots (eight of which are volumes of Jujutsu Kaisen). What these manga do all have in common, of course, is that they have been made into anime, which is great because it’s bringing excellent series like the aforementioned trio to a broader audience. It’s worth noting, though, that Jujutsu Kaisen is definitely the alpha manga right now; none of the other series has more than one title in the top 20.Outside the realm of manga, Vault Comics is reaping the rewards of the deal with Aethon that brought Dungeon Crawler Carl into their catalog (see “Vault Sells Majority Stake”). The graphic novel sitting at number three on the June chart is the adaptation that also runs on Webtoon (see “Webtoon Inks Deal with Ebook Publisher Aethon”). Dungeon Crawler Carl was number 2 in BookScan in May and it’s number 3 in June; in the direct market, it topped the May ComicHub/CSA chart (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels – May 2026”) and was number 3 in June. The other non-manga titles in the Top 20 are the hardcover edition of Book Ten of Lore Olympus, a June release, and the trade paperback of Absolute Batman, Vol. 1. As has been noted here before, the hardcovers of Lore Olympus sell better than the paperbacks, at least in the first few months, while with the DC Absolute titles, the opposite is true.
