Parineeti Chopra’s Shaque to be renewed for season 2? Producer Siddharth P Malhotra drops major hint

Parineeti Chopra-starrer Shaque: Trust No Onepremiered on Netflix last month, on September 24, 2026. The show has received mixed reactions. Now, amid the response, produced by Siddharth P Malhotra has now confirmed a sequel of the series. The mystery thriller revolves around Anvita, a mother who desperately hopes to find her daughter Apeksha, who is abducted right after her birth.
Shaque season 2 confirmed by producer
Siddharth, who also serves as the show creator, recently confirmed Shaque: Trust No One season 2. During an exclusive interview with Zoom, the producer revealed that the team is ‘actively working’ on it.
When asked about the possibility of season two for Shaque, Siddharth said, “We are working on season two actively right now. We are exploring creatively, story-wise, but we don’t have the story locked right now. We are actively working with writers trying to find season two right now.”
Continuing the conversation, he also revealed that the biggest challenge during season one was to keep the suspense alive while making the writing fast. He also mentioned that it is easy for people to get distracted since everyone has phones and Instagram reels.
Considering the above factors, the producer and the team Shaque had to ensure that they kept the energy constant in terms of editing, music and thrill. “So that is how we had to structure and write it. And that was teamwork from Netflix, from us and from a lot of people to come together,” he added.
Siddharth had earlier revealed that Parineeti Chopra shot the series when she was pregnant.

Shaque: Trust One stars Parineeti Chopra as Anvita, Jennifer Winget as Sakshi Dhruv Chaudhary as Tahir Raj Bhasin as Alok, and Soni Razdan as Madhu in pivotal roles. Additionally, the show also features Sumeet Vyas, Harleen Sethi, Anup Soni and more. Notably, the series marked the web series debut of Parineeti Chopra as well as her comeback to the screens almost 2 years after welcoming her baby boywith Raghav Chadha.
The series has been helmed by Rensil D’Silva, who has previously worked on Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Kurbaan. The 7-episode psychological crime thriller series premiered on Netflix on September 24, 2026.
