An insider who leaked Sons of Sparta before launch has claimed Sly Cooper, Ape Escape, and Killzone could get the same third-party treatment.
Over the past few years (especially following the success of Astro Bot), it’s been rumoured that PlayStation was looking to bring back some of its classic franchises that have gone a long time without a new game. There are far too many of these series to count, but Sly Cooper and Ape Escape are the two that seem to be brought up the most.
That rumour gained some grounding earlier this week when reliable insider NateTheHate claimed that Ape Escape was indeed coming back, but not with Team Asobi at the helm like many assumed. That hinted it might be someone outside of PlayStation’s wheelhouse, something that another insider has claimed is the case.

In the thread, they claim that Ape Escape is one of three series that PlayStation is taking pitches for from third parties.
