This Jesse-and-Jane reunion had a much happier ending than fans remember from Breaking Bad.
Krysten Ritter and Aaron Paul reunited at Los Angeles Comic Con over Halloween weekend, and Ritter shared the epic moment in a new Instagram post.
In the photo, Paul has an arm around Ritter, who wears a black shirt with a jack-o’-lantern face. Paul keeps it simple in a white T-shirt and jacket. Ritter captioned the snapshot, “What a joy to be reunited. Jesse and Jane forever. Love you @aaronpaul 🫠”
The post racked up a serious amount of comments, with fans ecstatic over the reunion 17 years after the show’s premiere.
“An alternate universe where they got completely clean together & have a happy life,” one person wrote.
“In another life they’re in Alaska together ðŸ˜ðŸ–¤ðŸ©µ,” another shared.
A third replied, “this healed something in me.”
“Someone cutting onions in here?” a fourth asked.
What characters did they play on Breaking Bad
Breaking Badpremiered in January 2008. Ritter joined the AMC drama in its second season as Jane, Jesse’s neighbor and love interest. Their relationship takes a tragic turn when they relapse into heroin use, and Jane dies after choking on her vomit while asleep. Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is there but chooses not to save her, something Jesse finds out about later.
This wasn’t their first reunion since the series ended. Ritter returned as Jane in the 2019 film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which follows Jesse after the events of the finale.
The cast is remembering RJ Mitte
The reunion follows an emotional few weeks for the show’s cast and fans. Paul recently paid tribute toRJ Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. and died at 34 in October. “I am at a loss. I am heartbroken over this news,” Paul said in a statement. He also shared a message for anyone struggling, writing, “please know you are loved, and you are not alone.”
Ritter also shared a message to Mitte in addition to resharing Cranston’s emotional tribute. She added, “I can’t begin to imagine what his family and loved ones are going through. My heart is with them, and with RJ.”
