IDW Publishing’s shared Godzilla <a href="https://comicvibe.com/scholarship-universe-extends-application-deadline/” title=”Scholarship Universe extends application deadline”>universe, the Kai-Sei Era, will receive its first crossover this March, simply titled Godzilla vs Everything. The four-issue series, by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Godzilla writer Tim Seeley and artist Fero Pe, will see the characters from the various books unite after Godzilla achieves “its most powerful form yet,” and sets “its sights set on destroying the world. Can the combined forces of Earth – and beyond – stop the King of the Monsters, or will Godzilla finally destroy the world?”

Seeley, who writes the main Godzilla series, says, “When I started work with editor Jake Williams and IDW on Godzilla, the big pitch was this was going to play like a universe of titles, but also as a universe of characters. From the beginning, the goal was they’d all come together at some point as friends and/or enemies in a proper comic universe event title. Well, we’re here, and all the meticulous plotting of our creative crew leads to a wild, weird, terrifying crossover comic that puts Godzilla, the kaiju and our cast through every epic story beat you’ve ever wanted.”
The Kai-Sei Era kicked off in Summer 2025, with Seeley and Nikola Čižmešija‘s Godzilla, Ethan S. Parker, Griffin Sheridan & Pablo Tunica‘s post-apocalyptic Escape the Deadzone, and Chris Gooch & Oliver Ono‘s Starship Godzilla. The three series, which have since been joined by the currently running prequel Horror of Godzilla, revolve around the titular mysterious energy
Godzilla vs Everything #1 will be released in March 2027, and the stage will be set by the main series (issue #13 of which is out now), Starship Godzilla: Invasion X (issue #1 of which is also available now), and Godzilla: Revenge of the Deadzone (starting October 28). The main Godzilla title, featuring art by Hendry Prasetya, will wrap up with issue #17 in February, and you can check out Prasetya’s design for the character’s new form below in the meantime.

Additionally, Godzilla will return to the big screen in Godzilla Minus Zero (the franchise’s first R-rated outing) on November 6, and then in Legendary’s Godzilla x Kong: Supernova on March 26. The big guy also continues to star in many, many more comics, including the newly announced Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 3, also starring Legendary’s version, which will similarly coincide with the latest movie early next year.
There’s nothing else to say except, “Go go Godzilla!”
