The beloved medical comedy Scrubs is back — again! The series, which was rebooted earlier this year on ABC, reuniting most of the show’s original cast, including Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, received a second-season order and premiered on Sept. 30.
Scrubs returned in February, more than 15 years after its cancellation, and it earned ABC one of its biggest streaming audiences for a comedy, with over 11 million viewers tuning in to the premiere. That popularity made it a shoo-in for a renewal; not only is this season a little longer (10 episodes instead of last season’s nine), it will also feature a beloved character from the original series, Scott Foley’s Sean Kelly, J.D.’s romantic rival for Elliot’s affection.
