So, you lost a patient in Animal Hospital, huh? You mistakenly fed them Maple Syrup instead of Cough Syrup, and the sugar overdose caused their spirit to rise from their body? Don’t worry, it happens to all great surgeons. Unfortunately, their restless soul is much less forgiving than I, and there‘s every chance it’ll return in physical form to get its revenge as a Ghost. These Anomaly enemies are particularly annoying, as they’ll sap your Sanity while remaining mostly invisible. So, to help unhallow your halls, we’ve put together a quick guide on how to get rid of Ghosts in Animal Hospital, as well as how to reveal their presence.

How to get rid of Ghosts in Animal Hospital
For a quick TLDR answer, you can get rid of Ghosts in Animal Hospital by zapping them with the Taser or shooting them with a Gun. There is a little bit more to the process than that though, considering they will intermittently turn invisible and attempt to sneak up on you, repeatedly dealing -2 Sanity damage for as long as they hover close to your avatar
To expose a Ghost, you can use the Fire Extinguisher near the doors to the shop to spray them, revealing their physical form. From here, you can pull out the Gun or the Taser and take them down in a single hit. Makes you really wonder why exorcists take so long getting ghosts back to the afterlife when you can allegedly just send them packing
How to spot Ghosts in Animal Hospital
Of course, while putting the Ghost down is half the battle, the other is even knowing the little rotter’s there in the first place. Ghosts can be hard to spot, since they like to disappear, but there are a few signs to look out for. If you spot any of these, you’re likely haunted:
- Doors opening on their own.
- A distorted, wispy sound effect (at first, I thought it was rushing wind).
- Rapid Sanity drain labelled as “-2 Ghostly Presence.”
- Glimpses of the Ghost flickering between being visible and invisible.
If you want a helpful strategy to manage them, once one of your patients dies, make sure to keep all the hospital doors shut when you’re not treating the patient beyond them. Patients will shut doors when they’ve been treated and leave the hospital, so now, whenever you’re roaming around, you’ll know that, if a door is wide open, a Ghost is likely roaming around. Well, a Ghost or a Skinwalker, but either way, both are pests you’ll want to exterminate to keep your hospital hazard-free
And that’s all you need to know about cleansing ghosts in Animal Hospital. If there are any other goblins, ghouls or ghasts really grinding your gears while you try to get work done, we’ve put together a full Animal Hospital Anomaly guide, with methods for quieting all manner of things that go bump in the night. But if you’ve had it up to here with working the night shift, you’ll find a full list of our non-Animal-Hospital Roblox guides here
