The latest season of Fortnite has dropped, and one of the big new additions is cheat codes. You can use these codes to get Sprites that offer extra buffs in Battle Royale.

Cheat codes are different to Fortnite admin panel codes, which is another big new feature of Chapter 7 Season 4. To help you get up to speed, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about how cheat codes work in Fortnite below.

    • Cheat codes explained
    • Cheat code rarities
    • How to find cheat codes

    Fortnite cheat codes explained

Fortnite cheat codes appear on the Battle Royale map. The cheat codes spawn randomly, and can appear on the ground or walls. If you see a cheat code, you need to go near it and press the prompted button to interact with it. You will then see some d-pad inputs you need to press in the correct order to claim the code.

Struggling to enter a cheat code?An extra tip from Dion

Finding it a bit tricky to enter a cheat code correctly? If you’re looking at it from the wrong angle, you may be viewing it upside down, which could be why you’re entering the wrong inputs! Fortnite does have a way of making things a lot easier though. If you happen to have a Cheat Master Sprite that you’ve equipped, you won’t need to worry about entering the right code. You just need to press any button and the correct inputs will be entered!

    Cheat code rarities

There are three different rarities for Fortnite cheat codes, which each offer different kinds of Sprites and a different amount of inputs players need to enter correctly.

Here are details on the cheat code rarities:

    • Blue: Minimum Rare Sprite (four inputs)
    • Purple: Minimum Epic Sprite (five inputs)
    • Gold: Minimum Legendary Sprite (six inputs)

    How to find cheat codes

Fortnite cheat codes spawn randomly, so you’ll typically find them as you’re exploring the Battle Royale map. If you want to zero in on the nearest one to you and find an exact map location then you’ll need to use a Cheat Code Locator.

You can get this Gizmo by using Fortnite admin panel codes or by heading to an Extraction Site. You can purchase a Cheat Code Locator from the Sprite Dust Services for 1,500 Sprite Dust, but this is limited to one purchase per day.
