Hanuman Ansh has been unstoppable at the box office and it continues its remarkable theatrical run even after the arrival of a big budget movie – The Paradise, starring Nani.

On Day 49, the Vishal Chaturvedi-directed devotional film earned Rs 3.65 crore net in India, taking its India net collection to Rs 288.33 crore and its worldwide gross to Rs 377.05 crore, according to a trade tracking site.

The film added the Day 49 collection across 6,729 shows, while its India gross stood at Rs 340.55 crore. It also earned Rs 0.75 crore from overseas markets.

With the worldwide total now at Rs 377.05 crore, Hanuman Ansh is around Rs 22.95 crore away from the Rs 400 crore milestone.

Hanuman Ansh holds its ground against The Paradise

What makes the latest numbers notable is that Hanuman Ansh is already in its seventh week, while The Paradise opened in theatres on September 24. Despite the arrival of Nani’s action drama, Hanuman Ansh managed to add Rs 3.65 crore on its 49th day.

The Paradise, meanwhile, opened with Rs 34.65 crore net in India on Day 1 Its India gross stood at Rs 54.90 crore, while its worldwide gross was reported at Rs 74.90 crore after the first day

Hanuman Ansh has already crossed Toxic

Hanuman Ansh has also moved past Yash-starrer Toxic in worldwide gross. Sacnilk’s figures put Toxic’s final worldwide collection at around Rs 342.13 crore, comprising Rs 298.38 crore from India and Rs 43.75 crore overseas.

Toxic reportedly opened at Rs 101.10 crore net on Day 1, while Hanuman Ansh began with a much smaller opening before building momentum over several weeks. Sacnilk’s earlier comparison put the reported budgets at around Rs 2 crore for Hanuman Ansh and Rs 500 crore for Toxic, though these budget figures are unofficial trade estimates.

A marathon run for Hanuman Ansh

The film’s box office trajectory has therefore been less about a massive opening and more about sustained audience interest.

From a modest start, Hanuman Ansh has continued to add substantial collections week after week, eventually crossing the worldwide lifetime total of a much larger pan-India release.
