GTA 6 Ultimate Edition for PS5 down to $90 with this PlayStation Store gift card deal

Newegg is currently offering a $100 PlayStation Store gift card for $90 when buyers apply promo code TEFF427 at checkout. The digital card is sold directly by Newegg and is delivered by email. The retailer lists the $10 discount as a limited-time offer and restricts purchases to three cards per customer.

This deal lines up particularly well with Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition. Rockstar’s upcoming game is currently available to pre-order for $99.99 on the US PlayStation Store, meaning the discounted $100 card can effectively cover the entire purchase for $90 out of pocket.

Also, don’t confuse this with GTA 6’s $399.99 Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. That collector’s box is sold separately through the Rockstar Store, not the PlayStation Store, and comes with 11 physical collectibles, but it includes neither a game disc nor a digital copy of GTA 6.

Buy GTA 6 Ultimate Edition at a discount

The Ultimate Edition includes Grand Theft Auto VI, the Ultimate Edition Upgrade, Vintage Vice City Pack, one month of GTA+ and seven-day pre-load access. The game is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version yet.

In case you don’t want GTA VI, you can instead use the PlayStation Store credit on other games, DLC, virtual currency or PlayStation Plus subscriptions.

There are a couple of restrictions to keep in mind. The card is intended for US PlayStation accounts, cannot be activated in Puerto Rico, and Newegg lists digital gift card purchases as non-returnable and non-refundable. Since the $10 promotion is marked as a limited offer, the discount may disappear without notice.

Also keep in mind that, as we recently reported, the PS5 version of GTA 6 is expected to require system software version 14.10.00.00 or newer at launch. The context here is the recently released Relapse jailbreak, which works across all PS5 models, including the PS5 Pro, as long as they are running firmware 7.00 through 13.60.

Firmware 14.00 already falls outside its supported range, so a 14.10 requirement would force players preserving a jailbreak-compatible console to update before playing GTA 6. However, Sony and Rockstar Games have not officially confirmed the firmware requirement, so nothing is final yet.
