Tomorrow, on August 27, Rockstar Games will officially lift the lid on Grand Theft Auto VIonce more, with GTA VI: An Extended Lookairing on Netflix.

You can tune in on Netflix at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST.

Alternatively, the special is landing on Rockstar Games’ YouTube channel for free six hours later at 6pm PT / 9pm ET on August 27 in the US and 2am BST / 3am CEST on August 28 in Europe.

The airing of the special should steal the thunder back from leaker CYBERLEEK, who’s been wreaking havoc on GTA VI, dropping a wide array of gameplay clips.

Once a deeper look at the title is unveiled officially by Rockstar, it’s unlikely anyone is going to be all that bothered about what CYBERLEEK has to offer.

No precise runtime has yet been confirmed for the special, but it’s expected to run for between 20 and 30 minutes.

The fun doesn’t end when the credits roll, as by all accounts, previews are set to drop immediately following the special’s airing.

Rockstar Games previously invited creators to its Edinburgh HQ; it’s been revealed

<a href="https://mp1st.com/news/report-gta-6-previe-hands-off-embargo-lifting-in-time-netflix-premiere” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>MP1st was the first to report on a hands-off preview held for content creators.

On August 19, they claimed that creators had been treated to a hands-off look at Grand Theft Auto VI, with the embargo lifting set to time out with the airing of the Netflix special.

MP1st didn’t confirm their a GTA VI preview event held recently for the media, but they weren’t given free access to mess around with the open world or anything like that.”

They continued, “Based on what we’re told, they weren’t even able to get their hands on the game at all.”

The event was reportedly held in July. The rumour has now been confirmed by Rockstar Games itself.

Creator TGG, known on Twitter/X as TGGonYT, has posted about the event, saying, “Last month I was invited to Rockstar North in Edinburgh. While there, I learned exclusive information about GTA VI.”

“As soon as the Extended Look is out, I’m telling you everything. Tomorrow,” they added. “Thank you to everyone at Rockstar Games who made this happen; I can’t wait.”

Rockstar Games’ official Twitter account then replied to the tweet with a heart emoji and a gorilla – an avatar often used by TGG on social media.

Other creators have since surfaced with similar tweets.

It’s not yet known whether creators simply got an early viewing of the Netflix special or whether they got to see gameplay that won’t be shown to the wider public.

We’re imagining the latter as it makes the most sense.

Rockstar Games is clearly trying to divert attention away from the work of CYBERLEEK, having recently put out a statement on the matter.

“It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time,” read the statement.

It continued, “While it is unfortunate that the intended game experience may now be impacted by some spoilers, we hope that everyone will wait a bit longer to experience the game for themselves on November 19.”
