This time of year, you might be asked an all-important question: Trick…or treat? But in Pokémon Pokopia, you can have the best of both worlds! The game’s next event, Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises, will take place from October 17, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. to November 1, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. local time. Pumpkaboo is coming to town, ready to help you create a spectacularly spooky vibe.
During the event period, Pumpkaboo will be waiting for you near rebuilt Pokémon Centers, and you can befriend them to start collecting pumpkin candy.
Make sure you’ve learned the move Camouflage from Zorua at Bleak Beach, because to collect any tasty treats, you’ll need to camouflage yourself as objects and surprise unsuspecting Pokémon! They’ll give you pumpkin candy as a reward for pulling off such mischievous tricks.
After you’ve gathered heaps of pumpkin candy, take them over to the Pokémon Center to exchange for event-themed furniture and decorations. You can use those items to create a habitat that appeals to Pumpkaboo’s eerie Evolution, Gourgeist!
And don’t worry: Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist will stick around town even after this haunting event ends.
