Ill. (WMBD) — A two-day gaming festival featuring a $50,000 collegiate esports showdown and Lil Jon is coming to Peoria
On Saturday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 4, Future Play Festival will take over the Peoria Civic Center, said Shae Savin, a Future Play spokesperson.
Savin said the festival is an all-new interactive gaming, esports, entertainment and technology experience, bringing together competitive gaming, immersive attractions, creators, music and hands-on experiences for one action-packed weekend.
At the center of the festival will be the Future Play Collegiate Esports Showdown, where competitors will battle live for a $50,000 Rocket League prize pool.
Future Play Festival will also include an airsoft shooting range, remote-control car racing, a retro arcade gaming lounge, and celebrity gaming appearances.
From 8 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Future Play will transform into Future Play After Dark, a live music experience featuring hip-hop icon Lil Jon and global electronic music star James Hype, Savin said.
Festival tickets are available online, including single- or two-day, concert- or festival-only and combination tickets.
