Netflix has been the home of Pokémon for several years, but a landmark change may be on the way for the anime series.
While it has not been <a href="https://comicvibe.com/exclusive-official-full-idw-november-and-december-2026-solicits/” title=”Exclusive: Official Full IDW November And December 2026 Solicits”>officially confirmed by the Pokémon Company or Netflix, rumors have surfaced online that after 29 years and 1361 episodes, weekly releases of the Pokémon anime are coming to an end. Instead, Pokémon will reportedly be taking a leaf out of One Piece’s book, and with the release of the tenth-generation Pokémon game, the new anime series will shift to a seasonal format.
This means that instead of the dozens of episodes fans are accustomed to every year, there will be a limited number of episodes, likely between 12 and 26.
End of an era: Pokémon Horizons will be the final weekly Pokémon anime.
