The roundup begins on a playful note by combining pop culture with astrology. A High School Musical feature pairs each zodiac sign with a song suited to its personality, whether that’s a driven go-getter or someone who lives for the spotlight. It offers fans a lighthearted way to revisit the music and personalities that made the franchise a favorite.
Music also takes the pitch with a playlist inspired by Ted Lasso. Built around upbeat anthems and the show’s signature optimism, the mix is designed to power fans through their day with the kind of relentlessly positive energy that might even make Roy Kent smile. For the length of an episode, Ted Lasso can make fans believe they may be capable of more than anyone expects.
Gaming fans have something far more dangerous waiting. FAN EXPO’s deep dive prepares fans for the arrival of Marvel’s Wolverine, Insomniac Games’ next entry in its connected superhero universe. The feature explores the world building up around the game, introduces the mutants joining the fight and looks at what is waiting for fans once Wolverine finally unleashes his claws.
The newsletter looks at the career of Lea Thompson. Known to generations of viewers for roles ranging from the time-traveling adventures of Back to the Future to one particularly unusual intergalactic duck, Thompson has built a career filled with comedy, heart, and unexpected choices. FAN EXPO’s appreciation feature celebrates the comedic timing and warmth that continue to make her performances memorable across generations.
Even the toughest characters have strange days at work. Under the headline “Mother’s Milk Battles What?” Karl Urban shares a behind-the-scenes moment with Laz Alonso during the production of The Boys. Elsewhere, The X-Files costars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson turn their attention to the craft of the show in a segment titled “The Truth Is… With the Script Supervisor,” with Duchovny sharing one of his on-screen acting tricks.
Not every featured hero walks on two legs. The newsletter introduces Luna, a small but confident dog dressed as Superman’s canine companion, Krypto. Described as the leader of her three-dog pack, Luna brings superhero energy to FAN EXPO’s Cosplay Pets feature. Fans are also invited to submit their own costumed pets for possible inclusion in a future newsletter.
The newsletter closes where fandom gets loudest: the convention floor. FAN EXPO looks back at its first Anaheim event, revisiting the laughs, poses and panels that made its first trip to the city memorable.

Looking ahead, FAN EXPO Dallas will take place September 11–13 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The three-day event will bring fans together through comics, science fiction, horror, anime, gaming, and cosplay.
A convention may last only a weekend, but fandom is harder to pack away. It follows people home through the games they play, the shows they revisit, the playlists they turn up and, occasionally, the dog they dress as Krypto.
