Few movies sustain their hype nearly a year after their theatrical release, but Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle (aka Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle) falls into this category. Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the anime film hit Japanese theaters on July 25 before arriving in North America last September, and fans are ready to stream it at home.
In the story by Koyoharu Gotoge, Tanjiro Kamado and skilled swordsmen from Demon Slayer Corps find themselves trapped in the demon Muzan Kibutsuji’s otherworldly fortress, the Infinity Castle. They must battle both lower-level and upper-ranking demons to survive and ultimately defeat Muzan. If you’ve been invested in Demon Slayer from day one, then you know the emotional stakes are high, and to expect blood, drama and deaths.
Nominated for a Golden Globe, the R-rated Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is the first of a three-part trilogy film series. Learn when to lock in and watch at home below.
