DC Comics: An Absolute Batman theory about Joker that’s crazy enough to be true

The more I read Absolute Batman, the more I realize that Jack Grimm knows more than he lets on. It became more obvious when Scarecrow told Batman that Grimm thought it would be funny to make Bruce Wayne a bat when his mother was part of the Court of Owls, since the owls are natural prey of bats. While Grimm thought this was funny, it’s doubtful that’s the entire story

It can’t be a coincidence that Grimm has everything that Bruce Wayne in DC Prime does. He has a kind of Batcave and a butler and helped create his version of theJustice League. Recently, Grimm and Slade Wilson took things a step further. Jason Todd, Duke Thomas, Tim Drake, and Stephanie Brown are all led by Dick Grayson. What do they have in common? They were all Robins at one point. Now Grimm’s Robins are hunting down Batman. So, yes, this is funny to Joker (and to me). But, once again, this has to be more than convenience.

The most glaring thing is Grimm’s Joker appearance. His monster form looks demonic in a way that would give actual demons nightmares. He has a smile that goes up his face and ends around his eyebrows, with more teeth than a hydra with multiple heads decapitated. Even in a world bastardized comic book universe, something like that doesn’t happen naturally. Which means Jack Grimm is part of a bigger plan created by Darkseid. But before I get to that, allow me to go back to a previous Scott Snyder character and story to further explain my theory/conspiracy.

Dark Knights: Death Metal and the Batman Who Laughs

No matter what kind of writer you are, there will be similarities within your work. For example, Kelly Thompson will perfectly write strong women with depth, Deniz Camp will break your heart and rebuild it, and Scott Snyder finds a way to connect everything he’s written for the final moment. In this case, the Batman Who Laughs and his connection to being the big dog to beat

In Dark Nights: Death Metal, the Batman Who Laughs tricks and defeats a cosmic entity, Perpetua, and becomes the big boss that needs to be beaten. It wasn’t easy, and he ended up having to play the long game of servitude until the right moment. If you were reading Scott Snyder’s work before this, you know that Darkseid, like Perpetua, is the character to beat.

It isn’t just the Absolute Universe. At the end of DC K.O.(another Scott Snyder story), readers see that Darkseid has created other universes to use as weapons. This is similar to Perpetua attempting to create a multiverse in her image. And just like her, Darkseid could be using Joker the same way she used the Batman Who Laughs. However, how this ends for the Lord of Apocalypse remains to be seen

How does this connect to Absolute Joker?

Joker trained with the right people to become a great fighter, knew how to manipulate people like Ra’s al Ghul and the other villains, and somehow understood the right combination to make Batman. That sounds like someone who’s getting favored information. The cost may have come with a demon form that could be considered Apokoliptic

The problem with this theory is that showing Jack Grimm anything is a mistake. He’s one of the craftiest, shadiest, and, most importantly, intelligent villains DC Comics has seen in a while. So it wouldn’t be shocking if Absolute Joker finds a way to outsmart a New God. That is, if any of this is true
