“This is a historic moment for Fan Expo Boston,” Andrew Moyes, vice president of Fan Expo HQ, said in a press release statement. “Bringing Chris Evans home to meet the fans who have supported him from his earliest days in local theater to his legendary run as Captain America is nothing short of extraordinary.”
According to the press release, Evans will take part in autograph and photo opportunities, as well as other “special experiences,” which fans can purchase starting on Tuesday, July 14 at 10 a.m
It’s been a bit of a quiet year for Evans on the big screen so far, but that’s all about to change this winter when he reprises his role of Steve Rogers for the highly-anticipated sequel “Avengers: Doomsday.” His long awaited return as the the star-spangled hero will hit the big screen in December
Before he fights off a new Marvel movie bad guy alongside a star-studded cast in “Doomsday,” Evans will join the equally celebrity-filled lineup for Fan Expo Boston in August. In addition to the Bay State star, this year’s festivities will feature appearances by Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, and William Shatner, among others. As “The Fellowship of the Ring” movie turns 25 this year, a number of “Lord of the Rings” cast members are set to appear as well, including Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Karl Urban, John Rhys-Davies, and Orlando Bloom.
